I had a quick mini session with these adorable girls last week. They were such sweethearts! Miss A is almost five. One of my favorite things about her was her curiosity. She asked me lots of questions about my camera, and I was so impressed I let her push the shutter a few times. She’s going to grow up to do something amazing, I’m sure, but I loved capturing her at this age. They grow up so fast.
Little sister Miss I is 20 months old. What a cutie. She was pretty shy at first. When she heard my shutter clicking in her direction, she said, “NO!!” to me in a very determined voice. Of course, I didn’t listen.
She warmed up to me by the end, though. We played peekaboo at the kitchen table and she was doing her best to hide from me, but I was rewarded with this sweet smile at the end. Her messy hair is just the best! One of those real moments that lifestyle photography is meant to capture.
Sweet sisters. I loved how Miss I had two fingers in her mouth. I wonder how long she will still do that.
At the kitchen table Miss A wanted to get out some “paints.” She was full of concentration and showing me all her favorite colors. Little Miss I didn’t want to miss any of the action – my favorite part of this photo is her little toes hooked over the back of the chair. Safety first, so we didn’t let this go on any longer than it took to get the shot! But they are only this little once.
I could have spent a lot more time with these two girls – they were so much fun. I love that I get to spend time with so many wonderful families. They are so generous to share their lives and their stories with me, and this is just about the best job I could imagine having. I am always looking forward to meeting more families!
