It’s time for another monthly post from my lovely group of lifestyle photographers! This month our theme is cell phone photos, so I’m sharing a few of my favorites I’ve taken with my iPhone 5S. (Warning: Instagram filters in use…)
A summer day in the Acton Arboretum (Acton, Massachusetts).
I was leaving a doctor’s appointment at golden hour and saw these gorgeous shadows in the glowing light.
Last summer I took my kids to Hershey Park as part of our summer vacation. I hardly ever do night photography, but I liked this phone capture!
This was taken on a quick trip we took to Salisbury Beach for fireworks last summer. We got there a little early so we could enjoy the water and the sunset. This shot was completely lucky – I happened to catch my gymnast daughter striking this pose.
I’ve heard it said that the best camera is the one you have with you. I’ve been taking my “real” camera with me a lot more often, so I tend to use my phone only for quick snaps that are practical rather than artistic, or if I don’t have the DSLR with me. I think I’ve forgotten how much an iPhone camera can really do, so I should challenge myself to use it more often! Be sure you keep going around the circle to see what everyone else is sharing. The fantastic Lorna Tyson is next up! Thanks for spending a little time with us!
