I have a special place in my heart for dancers. I love their artistry, musicality, beauty and grace–dance is like no other art form. So when I get to work with a senior who wants to highlight dance in her portrait session, it’s always special.
J’s dance portraits took place in Wakefield, MA. We started at the bandstand at Lake Quannapowitt with beautiful golden hour light.
We walked down the street to the library and took a few shots there for a different look. I love the geometric lines and repetition of the bricks and metal contrasted with the elegance of her dance poses.
We walked back toward the park and stopped at a church for a few more shots. I always try for a variety of locations and looks within a session
I’ll finish with a sweet portrait we took back at the park, by the lake. J is such a beautiful young woman who will do the Class of 2017 proud!
If you are a dancer or have some other special hobby or talent you’d like to highlight in your senior portraits, I love getting creative and trying new things. Contact me today to book a spring or summer session now!
