I met this sweet family on a pretty day last fall. I loved spending a little time with Misses H and S, Mom and Dad, and Grandma Gigi. They have a beautiful home they built in a gorgeous spot overlooking a pond–how lucky to have a perfect setting for a family session!
We had some family snuggle time on the couch to start. Little Miss S especially showed her personality during this session, and if she didn’t want to sit next to Grandma, nothing was going to make that happen! That’s what I love about lifestyle, the ability to just capture whatever happens. Lots of silly faces and smiles and giggles all around!
The rest of the session we spent outside. How could we not? The girls had playtime and a tea party, perfect for sisters!
There was a little incident with Miss S before I got to their house. Mom put the girls in dresses for the photos, then she couldn’t find Miss S. Turns out she was behind the couch, drawing all over herself with purple marker! I’m sure this is something Mom will never forget, and now she has the photos to prove it. Real life and real moments are always my goal in my sessions!
Miss S was also obsessed with her tea cup and squirting her Capri Sun into it. And of course drinking every last drop!
The girls spent a long time playing with these pretty flowers in their yard. It was impossible not to document the little moments these sisters shared, and the determination on their faces and their dirty little hands and feet!

It may be winter outside now, but it’s still the perfect time for a lifestyle session with your family, even if we spend the time indoors. Your favorite locations are always perfect, because they are the places you love!
